Yule Decorations
Large Rush Stars
Sunday 7 December
10am-1pm
£65
Venue: St Mary’s Church Hall, Lewes, BN7 1QA
Make a beautiful, large, folk art inspired star from English rush. These beauties are big enough to hang on your door as a gorgeous alternative to a wreath. They’re also perfect as a wall decoration if you prefer.
Rush is a traditional, native wild plant that’s lovely to work with. There’ll be sample stars showing variations in style to inspire you. Different stars are suited to different levels of skill, but they’re all gorgeous.
Ruby will guide you through all the stages of construction and weaving to make your star.
What’s included
All tools and materials, including different types of cord so you can customise your star.
We’ll have a pan of mulled apple juice and some homemade sweet treats to warm your cockles and get you in a festive midwinter spirit.
Who this is for
Suitable for anyone who loves making things with their hands. Designed for adults but 14-18 year olds are very welcome if accompanied by a participating adult. Group size is limited to 10 participants.
