Perfect for the festive table, as gifts to loved ones, or for your own home.

These wild grass handbrushes make the sweeping of crumbs etc a pleasing ritual. The reed mace trivets are as beautiful as they are useful.

What you'll learn

You'll learn various basketry methods to make a beautiful pairing of useful homewares from locally harvested wild plants.

These brushes and trivets are inspired by Japanese utensils, and are made using traditional crafting techniques.

We'll be working with native wild plants, foraged locally by Ruby, which lend themselves perfectly to the techniques.

We'll talk about how, when and where the plants are harvested and processed.

There will be sample brushes made from a range of materials to inspire you further. And we'll discuss other plants you can use to weave trivets.

Ruby will guide you through all the stages of making your brush and trivet.

You'll leave knowing all you need to make further ones at home after the workshop.
